Description:

Resin appearing as irregular masses composed of numerous irregular granules, about 2.5 cm in size.

Surface red-brown to yellow-brown, uneven. Fractured surface granular, oily lustrous with whitish dots. Becoming yellowish brown milky fluid when ground with water.

Aromatic in odour. Bitter in taste, mild in nature, and attributive to liver, heart and spleen channels. **
